In February–March, Piotr Beczała stars as Don José with Victoria Karkacheva as Carmen and Anna Bondarenko as Micaëla, conducted by Yves Abel. In June, Freddie De Tommaso takes over as Don José alongside Elmina Hasan as Carmen and Christian Van Horn as Escamillo, conducted by Asher Fisch. Bizet's score contains the most recognizable music in all opera: the Habanera, the Toreador Song, the Flower Song, and the shattering final confrontation.
