Ermonela Jaho — acclaimed as the greatest Butterfly of her generation — stars as the doomed Cio-Cio-San, with Saimir Pirgu as Pinkerton and Attila Mokus as Sharpless. Marco Armiliato conducts. Puccini's Madama Butterfly contains some of the most emotionally devastating music ever written: the love duet, the famous Un bel dì vedremo ("One fine day"), and the shattering humming chorus.
