Anna Netrebko takes on one of her signature roles as Floria Tosca in Margarethe Wallmann's legendary production — the oldest staging still in the repertoire of the Vienna State Opera, premiering in 1958 and beloved by audiences for nearly seven decades. With Nicola Benois' atmospheric sets and costumes, this is Tosca as it was meant to be seen: grand, theatrical, and visually magnificent.

Daniel Oren conducts, with Christopher Maltman as the terrifying Baron Scarpia. Puccini's Tosca is opera's greatest thriller — a relentless three-act drama of love, political tyranny, and religious hypocrisy set in Napoleonic Rome. Three of the most famous arias in the repertoire — the thunderous Te Deum, Tosca's anguished Vissi d'arte, and Cavaradossi's farewell E lucevan le stelle — build to one of the most shocking endings in all of opera.
